teachers journal at madakiya

Teaching in Government Secondary School(GSS) madakiya has been good and bad. I have had a lot of experience right from the first day i discovered that students were not so much interested in Education, because teachers are being posted to this village Madakiya but they are not regarded either by the students nor their parents.I also discovered that there was indiscipline, when a student commit an offence and he/she is being punished before you will know it the whole villagers will be in the school premises to beat up that teacher concern. so to cut the long story short, i have learnt how life in the village could be so furstrating but am here to build up leaders of tomorow which i must do because i have made up my mind to do that and i will not give up.at

Teaching has never being an easy task, all you have mentioned as your experiences are common challenges that come with teaching in the rural areas. With your resolve to keep imparting knowledge and building future leaders I think you have got the required attitude to succeed. However, maintaining a good relationship with your students and the community will give you a better platform to achieve your goals.
I also think you should apply self directed learning to your students, its a skill they'll use all their life.

Your comments about the attitudes of parents in the village in particular are faulty and capable of creating a negative impression about the community in general.
Whereas one will appreciate the fact that youth have their perculiar problems, yet parents will not go to that extend as insinuated by you.
You should use your teaching principles well knowing that you are a nation builder.
